Caleb R. Hopkins, CFA, CFP®
Caleb is a wealth manager for high net worth individuals, families and private foundations. He is a native of Jasper, Alabama, and has worked in multiple roles in the area of finance before private wealth management. His passion is helping clients find peace of mind by navigating a complex and often confusing process for his clients.
Caleb began his career as a bank teller at First Commercial Bank in Birmingham. He did this while completing his bachelor’s degree at UAB. He continued in banking as a credit analyst, becoming Assistant Vice President while finishing his MBA. Following his career in commercial banking, Caleb joined Vulcan Materials Company (NYSE: VMC) as a Senior Treasury Analyst. He was directly involved in the $4.6 billion Florida Rock acquisition, which included debt issuance and interest rate hedging. In addition, Caleb helped manage the cash investments for Vulcan and its Foundation with over $500 million in assets.
Prior to co-founding Navigate, Caleb managed assets and investments for individuals, families and institutions for more than eight years. He served six years on the investment committee for a registered investment adviser with over $500 million in assets under management. He and Mr. Grahs jointly served on the three-member investment committee research sub-committee.
Caleb is a wealth manager with deep expertise in corporate finance, investments, as well as financial planning for individuals and families. He works with clients in academia, women in transition, and beneficiaries of large estates.
Caleb's academic background is in finance. He concentrated in finance for both his Bachelor's degree and his MBA, both from UAB. He is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Alabama, and he is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional. Caleb, his wife and two daughters reside in Homewood, Alabama. He is a member and serves as Treasurer of Shades Valley Lutheran Church, and serves on the finance committee for Novus Way.
